The Strategic Logistics Story

1972

Bob Sr. turns 18 and begins hauling fertilizer to local farms from the city of York. His first solo trip was to Atlanta, Georgia, where it took him an hour to back into the dock!

1994

Bob Sr. teams up with Bob Jr. to found Strategic Logistics. When they first started out, Senior and Junior rented one desk in another company’s maintenance department for $100 a month.

1996

Strategic Logistics buys out a distribution company up the street and moves their operations to that building’s second floor.

1997

Strategic Logistics offers full-service transportation management services to a company in Lebanon, Ohio. They run their 29 truck operation out of an on-site office.

2012

Bob Sr. retires and sells his shares of the company to Bob Jr., who takes over full-time.

2020

Strategic Logistics grows to over 100 drivers. Using the same customer focused approach we have practiced for 30 years, allowing us to continue our upward trajectory.

2023

Strategic Logistics continues to provide quality service and has now outgrown its office facilities and moved into a new corporate office in Hellam, Pennsylvania.

Green Logistics

We’re proud to be an EPA-certified SmartWay® partner. This federal program is dedicated to improving freight transportation efficiency to benefit public health and the environment. Our average fleet is only 3-4 years old, and we’re constantly working to increase our trucks’ miles per gallon. We also use recycled, recapped tires whenever we can to lessen our environmental impact.
